In a effort to identify the multiple problems that can occur in the gastrointestinal tract, Dr. Borislow may be scheduling tests or performing procedures. Listed below are some helpful website links. We also have information about the various preparations you may have to use to prepare for the tests. This information will be discussed in detail at your office visit. Colonoscopy

Dr. Borislow will discuss the best preparation for each patient at their office visit. He also will be discussing where the colonoscopy will be scheduled based on various health factors, equipment utilization, and insurance requirement.

Esophagoscopy (EGD or Upper GI endoscopy)

This procedure generally requires no preparation, unless antibiotics are required due to other health concerns. Patients are instructed to have nothing to eat or drink for 6 hours before the test. Information about medications, and the proper facility will be discussed at the office visit.
